Ashley J. Chin

Senior Marketing Leader

Hi, I'm Ashley.

I'm a senior marketing leader with 15+ years across product marketing, GTM, brand, and growth — including 6+ years at Google. The work I enjoy most is taking something great but complicated, new, or not yet fully understood and making it clear, compelling, and meaningful to customers, or finding ways to make good marketing work harder and drive growth.

At Google, I led brand marketing for Google Shopping and its AI-powered commerce experiences, including Virtual Try-On, AI Vision Match, Lens, and AR beauty. I also led product marketing for Google's retail and commerce ads business and built the market case for a new $100B advertiser opportunity.

My work sits at the intersection of:

PRODUCT
What are we building and what problem does it solve?
POSITIONING
Who is it for and why should they care?
STORY
How do we make it clear and compelling?
EXPERIENCE
How does that promise come to life?
GTM & ACTIVATION
How do we bring it to market and drive adoption?

Earlier in my career, I led digital and growth marketing at See's Candies, Peet's Coffee, and Jamba Juice, with direct accountability for traffic, conversion, adoption, and revenue.

A few highlights

  • Built the commerce product narrative delivered by Google's President of Commerce at Google Marketing Live
  • Led positioning and launch strategy for Google Shopping's AI experiences
  • Drove tens of millions of shopping actions and 500M+ media impressions through a global GTM
  • Doubled paid-search ROAS at See's Candies and rebuilt its affiliate program into a 7-figure channel
  • Launched Jamba's first nationwide mobile app and online ordering system, doubling launch benchmarks

I'm currently taking on select consulting and fractional marketing work with companies bringing new products, brands, technologies, and ideas to market, or looking to make their marketing and growth efforts more effective.
